The Shaka flannel – it's made of polyester rather than cotton, and has mesh underarm vents to keep air moving and prevent its wearer from overheating. I'd call it a mid-weight flannel, one that would work for chilly fall rides.

Flannels are my go to in the fall. Whether I'm wearing them to commute, work, or mountain bike, they're a staple. That said, you can't just wear any ole flannel mountain biking without quickly regretting your decision. Club Ride has done a great job of making these both warm and extremely breathable.

In addition to providing excellent wicking ability, the polyester fabric also does a good job insulating on cool days. Even in the fall and winter, heat management is important for comfort, so Club Ride has built in strategic ventilated panels in the underarms. Not only that, since the jersey is a button-down, the front of the jersey is naturally ventilated between the snaps, and can easily be opened up when temperatures rise.

This has been a fantastic fall/winter riding shirt warm enough fort those chilly morning starts with enough ventilation keep you from overheating and dry while pedaling. And its not like your traditional flannels that become heavy and bulky super light and just fits right. I'm 5'10" 175LBS and I'm at that gray area between a med and Large usually but the Large here fits like a champ! The rear pocket is a nice touch to boot. Was so good had to get another. Also something that doesn't scream I RIDE BIKE BRO and stylish enough you could go from the trail to the bar in (if we can get to do that again after COVID). Side note the durability is spot on on this thing did a little unplanned experiment that involved loose gravel and a cactus (don't recommend repeating this one, just take my word on it) not even a snag in the fabric. If only it could pull out the cactus needles out too.

So good, I had to buy a second

I have a couple Kitsbow flannels that I wouldn't dare wear on a MTB ride, so these are my go-to outer layer for colder starts/days. I never need to take it off because it breathes so well, even with a wicking base layer. Great product with excellent fit and finish. I'm sure I'll buy a third one when new colors come out.

NOTICEABLY high quality, space age fabrics that are perfect for the cool to cold

Well the cooler season is here in California, and depending on the time of day, the temperature in winter riding can be in the 30s to the mid 50s.

So I have my setup for fall weather, hot weather, and extreme cold weather… but 45-55 is a range I don’t really have a good option for and end up feeling too cold or too hot. Recently saw a review of Club Ride Apparel from SingleTracks that caught my eye, so decided to give it a try.

tl;dr > NOTICEABLY high quality, space age fabrics that are perfect for that temperature range.

The quality is insane – lightweight, but feels like they could stop bullets. Really study construction, feels like if you took a tumble, it’ll be the ground that suffers the worst of it.

My inaugural run was 50s but on a very windy and chilly day. The wind just went around the clothes like a shield, and the heat and moisture management was perfect. And all I was wearing was the shirt and pants with no other layers.

Love the style as well. Most of my riding wardrobe is the screaming graphics and loud colors, but I’m liking this more casual look where you could go hang out after riding.

Size small fit perfect for me - I'm 145lbs, with an arm length of 22" from shoulder to wrist, 38.5" chest. Sizing is tricky for me as a small can often be way too tight, but if I go any bigger the arm lengths are way too long. So was very happy that the small was a great fit.

I got the lime green color one, which is the greatest color invention ever!
