M's Fat Jack Pant
Technical and robust, our Fat Jack pant was designed for the epic fat-bike ride on miles of winter single track. Don’t have snow? Don’t fret, the Fat Jack performs in dirt and on pavement just as well. Our stretch, water resistant double weave fabric with durable canvas leg patches deliver the workman’s pant in a technical package. Reflective accents add night time security. The side leg pockets store all of your goodies securely behind a reflective bound zipper or open them up for full upper leg ventilation.
Bottom line, the Fat Jack did exactly what I was hoping it would: provide a warm, tough, water resistant external layer for fat biking expeditions. But as a bonus, with the level of insulation that this pant provides, I could easily see using it in both spring and fall weather as well, simply by dropping the thermal liner that I used beneath it for winter fat biking.
I may, maybe, almost, kind of not sure but yah i think- i like these more than the Gold Rush (that i LOVE). so comfortable. great fit on or off the wheel. awesome in the woods. i could go on and on.
JUST ONE GRIPE...
same as my only gripe about the Gold Rush pants...
Give us a forest or pine green of some sort... (BOTH the Gold Rush AND the 'Jacks)
ok wait... i like em the same. BOTH are awesome!
I've been getting these pants for a few years now. I love them in this light-ish blue. I'm really glad they fit my, rather large, Samsung phone in the left-side pocket.
I like to skate ski in the winter, and I'm not a fan of wearing tights. These pants were perfect...they've got a skinny cut so they don't flap around, and the wind-blocking/water resistance seemed excellent on a cold (27F), snowy day. The fit couldn't be better, got the Small (31) and I'm 5' 9" with a 30-31" waist. Haven't tried with pads for biking yet, but hopeful they fit over at least a knee sleeve style pad. Material seems durable and the weight/thickness seems ideal for me, as I run a little hot during exercise.
I'm 6'1, usually wear size 34w/32L and the Large/35 fit perfectly. Wore them with long underwear for a recent 20deg windy ride, and stayed warm. Haven't taken them in rain or snow yet, but am anxious to see how the DWR coating performs. The fit is great, and not once did I feel like the pants leg was getting close to the front chainring. They also look great... I prefer wearing these pants into gas stations/stores during my ride as opposed to tights. But that's me. Would definitely buy again - especially at the black friday price.
