I’ve spent the last month in my Joe Dirts, working at my desk, walking, riding my bike, relaxing with family, and I love them. They are made to last and are much better quality than my old alternatives. Whilst they are super comfy and non-restrictive when active, the material is heavier than my other biking shorts, and that does make them a little warmer.

The Joe Dirt shorts buck the bike trend a bit featuring more of a casual/workwear type of design that you’d pick for a day of hanging out before a big day in the saddle. That being said, the 4- Way stretch and gusseted crotch mean that the Joe Dirt is still at home on the bike. The buttoned phone pocket keeps your phone out of the way while pedaling yet secure enough to not worry about it falling out when you are taking the spicy route to the office or your next brewery stop.
These are a sort of do-it-all short, and are stretchy and moveable enough for a ride, or hauling meteors in a Radio Flyer to the next town.
I have 2 rides under my belt with these shorts. Nice and stretchy while not feeling all that tight. Sizing is good and the 12" legs are perfect for me. The only thing I would change with these shorts would be to make the phone pocket a bit deeper so I could snap it when I put my phone in after the ride. Other than that small thing, these shorts are going to see a lot of miles this summer!
These shorts are a slim fit, but stretch really well. 32-33" wasted male. Altho slim, they don't feel too restrictive when pedaling. The "bring your own belt" concept is a winner, and they stay up much better than pants that only have an internal half belt around the front. The inside velcro adjustment tabs help dial in the waste size. Good looking shorts, that can cover a lot of activities, from beers to hiking and biking. One minor item: The thigh pocket could be deeper, allowing the pocket to be snapped closed, for a cell phone.
So comfortable. Well made for riding and look and fit great for just casual days.
These shorts are awesome! The fit great and feel great while riding. My wife even thought they looked good which is rare for biking shorts.
I bought my husband a pair for Christmas that he wore for 3 rides in a row! So I decided to buy him the other 2 colors. He loves that they’re not the typical MTB baggies and wears them mostly for MTB and gravel rides. Since they’re on the slim fit side, I hang them to dry, but I do that for all our cycling clothes. Hubby says not to worry, they stretch to fit!
