M's New West Shirt
While the New West won’t make you a better country singer it will sure make you look the part! We kept our classic western look but added 5% spandex to the shirt so you can move in comfort at the local wagon ride or on the trail. Keeping with tradition we kept the pearl snaps and all the other bells and whistles like reflective accents and a zippered rear pocket to give the shirt the dirt cred it deserves!
I want my mountain bike apparel to do two things: work well when I’m riding and look good once I’m done. Club Ride’s New West shirt effortlessly checks both boxes. I often wear it to start the day, go for a ride at lunch, then rush back for a Zoom call without changing.
Club Ride’s New West Shirt is pretty different from your typical bike jersey, in that it’s actually a button-up collared shirt. Don’t let the appearance fool you though — it’s actually a much higher-performance piece than it looks at a glance. The material is very thin and light at 100 g per square meter, and it’s an exceptionally breathable garment, supplemented by some cleverly hidden mesh vents under the armpits. It’s impressively comfortable in very hot weather, and I’ve also taken to wearing it casually when the temperatures really climb.
Club Ride is all about ditching “regular” mountain bike clothing and replacing it with functional pieces. The New West line of jerseys look like Western-style button-up shirts but offer trail-riding comfort.
The shirts feel cool on the trail, but they transition well while tossing back a burger and brew at Sun Valley’s Grumpy’s and even wear well at work.
New west and Go longs are to date my absolute favorite shirts hands down! i wear them mountain biking , gravel riding ,CX racing, XC racing, at work, going out( wait im a parent i dont really do that much ) in the back yard , the front yard, on the airplane , you get the point. these are the only shirts i wear that elicit comments from strangers about how good they look. please make these in some solid colors for serious business wear ( LOL) not kidding ! if i only had one button up it would be these.
I don't mountain bike...yet
However, suffering uphill for enjoyment can be done with legs of with wheels. And i absolutely walk up-hill
These shirts are fantastic. They breath well, are light and very comfortable! I was looking for new hiking shirts...and i've since landed on these! The pocket in the back is really great...though not used as much when I have a pack on.
I recently went to Puerto Rico...and while I didn't hike...I wore these as casual wear and in 90 degree heat they are amazing!
The hidden pocket is great, the zipper goes right up and is nice & snug. The chest pocket... 🤔 Well, I wouldn't trust my car keys or cash in it, a little button-secured flap would be perfect as far as usability goes. The fit is great. I'm just a bit over 5'9", pretty average sized at 165, not necessarily all swoled up or chubby or slim, just kinda average, and for whatever reason in one shirt a mediums gonna fit perfect and other onesl I'll need a XL to get the same fit. But for this shirt a LARGE fit me perfectly. The color (blue violet) looks great. I wouldn't normally write a review for a shirt EVER, I bought this shirt because I liked the cut & color and was really just hoping for a decent fit... but the *perfect* fit and very useful hidden pocket made this one of my faves. 👍
Great fit, breathable and fast drying. Bonus points for moving from work to trail to pub. Loved it so much I bought a second.
