These are great pants. Very comfortable. Tons of pockets. I dont mind wearing them when I’m off the bike post ride.
My only issue is the lower leg is very baggy. In the picture it looks more fitted/tapered. Mine were quite loose around the lower leg.
They look like well built pants and perfect for shoulder season in the mountains. I live in central New Mexico and could see using these all winter locally. I'm going to have to try the next larger size though. I am 5'11" 178lbs. with a 32" waist and 31" inseam. The medium pants fit my waist, but are way to tight on my butt and thighs, yet baggy around ankles. Nearly all my casual taper fit pants are 32x32, but these fit a little more like 32x32 skinny/slim pants, which makes them like tights on my butt and thighs. I look forward to trying the large.
These are my go to pants now. They have oversized streach panels, and they are very light weight. Had a spill on a highspeed flat corner, and no damage! I need to buy a couple extra pair.
Fat Jack pants are just right. I am an old Silver Haired Cyclist now and skin tight tights just do not work for me anymore. The Fat Jack pants even with sport fit allow for the perfect amount of room. I commute to work so the added bonus of being able to wear them in the office if I like is fantastic Quality material, good fit, a little long off the bike, but with the added length perfect on the bike. Well thought through design. So much so that I could not wait to buy the Gold Rush when it came back in stock. And I just love them also! The Fat Jack perfect for cool weather and the Gold Rush perfect for when it gets colder then cool in good old Kansas, oh yes they are both great for that Kansas wind also. Very satisfied very comfortable pants on and off bike, can't wait to try some of your shirts!

I'm a close to 5 day/week Emtb rider. 18 to 30 miles per ride. My wife observes my OCD... Obsessive Cycling Desire....
Been using the Fat Jack pants through the winter without a second layer even into the teens many days and it handles it perfectly. Now that it's summer here I've been using the pants when the temps are in the 80's because it helps with protection from the deer ticks, etc....and they still are great and in no way overly warm. Hence the "how did they do it". Such amazing comfort. Not too stiff and yet light enough to feel totally at home in these pants even after the rides. The fit is perfect in length/leg width and waist. Size large....I'm 6 ft/172 lbs. The durability is excellent and I've been through so much crazy terrain and multiple slides/falls and brushes with logs/trees etc. A great combo of comfort and durability. And...they actually look really good.
I use either the one hour or the 2 hour underliner from CR as well. Perfect combo. It would be easy to layer these because there is room if you need to and yet the breathability is excellent and pockets are multi functional for carrying stuff or as venting.
I typically do not write reviews but I always appreciate when others write informative reviews that help me decide.....I guess it's my turn to share the good news. These pants rock!
