I've tried multiple shorts and after getting a pair of these last year, I knew I'd found what I liked. Just got two more as I kept finding myself regretting wearing my other shorts.
I have a couple pairs of these shorts. The fit is spot on and comfortable - you don’t have to think about them or adjust them constantly. They aren’t too baggy so you don’t catch your seat between your legs when your rolling some techy rock sections. Subtle style, which I like - no loud logos, casual enough for hitting the bar after a big ride. Pockets where you need them. The material feels durable and stretchy and is long enough to stay over your pads so you don’t show too much leg.
Good fit and Uber comfy. Go to riding short
I ordered the XL which is what I would normally wear. The shorts were a bit tight in the waist but I was going to keep them anyway. My wife said no! so I returned them. A XXL was not available in Mountain Surf (a Sport Fit as it's called) so I sought out something else. I found the Joe Dirt which was available in XXL but it was a "Comfort Fit". I asked the pop up assistant dude; "a sport fit XL is too tight, if I get a comfort fit should I get the XL or XXL". Pop up assistant dude said get the XXL in the comfort fit. I order the comfort fit Joe Dirts in XXL. They are find of big but with the velcro adjustments at the waist I am able to wear them. I kept the Joe Dirts. Point is, if the sport fit is a bit too tight, a comfort fit short in the same size is the way to go. I really like my Joe Dirt's even though they are a bit baggy. More room for pizza and IPAs I suppose.
