I’ve been meaning to get a shirt like this for a long time. It is great, lightweight and stretchy material with excellent ventilation. It does fit as described, loose but I think for mountain biking that’s necessary. The only issue with the shirt is it totally doesn’t look like the stock image on the website. Pay attention to the image with the model, that’s the right color of the shirt
Tired of sending back shirts for a big guy with 54” chest. Club ride was spot in with the sizing.
One day, I was minding my own business avoiding work by watching YouTube videos about mountain biking. I came across a video by Dusty Betty in which she was talking about the Sedona Mountain Bike Festival (this is a festival for mountain bikes in Sedona (Arizona)). During the video, she was showing off some vendors. One of those vendors was Club Ride Apparel. I had been in the market for a new mountain biking wardrobe, and the mention of the business caught my interest. Now since Dusty Betty is a mountain biking channel with a focus on women's mountain biking, most of the apparel that she discussed was mainly women's designs. But I decided to take a look at the company anyway. I was particularly looking for shorts, but I also wanted shirts that were less "jersey" looking and more relaxed, casual styles. When I got to the CR web site, it was like the heavens opened and poured their glory all over me (this may be a slight exaggeration). What I saw was exactly what I was looking for. Shorts that were sporty but also looked like you could wear them into work (which I have). Shirts that were just as at home in the office as they are on mountain bike trails. I felt like I walked out of my house to find manna on the ground (I have never actually walked out of my house to find manna on the ground so I don't know exactly what that's like, but I think it might be as good as the way I felt browsing the Club Ride catalog). After talking with the online chat dude, I zeroed in on some articles (a pair of shorts and some shirts). One of those articles was the Detour Shirt. I originally bought one in the Ochre Red design, and it felt so comfortable I just had to have another. So I picked up the blue plaid version as well. And let me tell you, they are incredibly comfortable! Amazingly comfortable. The shirt fits perfectly in all the right ways. I got the XL. I'm 6'0" and currently about 245 pounds. I have a hefty spare tire but this doesn't emphasize that at all. It keeps it's shape after washing, as well. No shrinking in odd directions or nothing. It's crisp and cool and wicks water away easily. I love this shirt. I have a total of three Club Ride shirts, now. The sizing on the Detour is perfect. It's a relaxed fit and hangs nicely. Thank you, Club Ride! I'm looking forward to trying out more of your awesome clothes soon!
