GARMENT CLEANING

Keep the Fun, Lose the Funk

Let’s be real, the clothes we ride in can get ripe. Whether you’re grinding up a climb, tearing through singletrack, or rolling into town for tacos, sweat happens. And when sweat happens, so does stink.

Over the years we’ve heard all kinds of “hacks” for dealing with it: tossing your gear in the freezer, soaking it in vinegar… even baking it in the sun. But honestly? Not everyone wants their Club Ride chamois hanging out next to the ice cream sandwiches, and we’ll save the vinegar for our pickles, thank you very much.

So what’s the move when your favorite Mountain Surf Shorts or New West Shirt start holding on to a little too much “ride memory”?

Enter Nikwax Sports Refresh

This is where our friends at Nikwax come in. Their Sports Refresh wash doesn’t just deodorize, it deep cleans. It goes a step further in banishing stink by enhancing the wicking of athletic apparel. That means that moisture spreads faster through the material and helps sports clothing dry faster. AKA less stink and more comfort while you ride.

Bonus: washing with Sports Refresh helps prevent stains from setting in, so your Daniel Flannel can look as fresh at the campfire as it did when you rolled out of the trailhead.

Easy as Toss and Go

Using it is simple: swap Sports Refresh in for your regular laundry detergent, run a normal cycle, and skip the fabric softener (which coats your gear and kills its wicking powers). That’s it. No vinegar baths, no freezer tricks, just clean, fresh gear that’s ready for the next ride.

Ride More, Worry Less

Club Ride builds apparel for big days on the bike and everything after. Nikwax keeps that apparel working hard without stinking up your gear bag. It’s a win-win: your kit lasts longer, you stay fresher, and your riding buddies thank you.

So go ahead, ride hard, sweat plenty, and let Nikwax take care of the rest.
