Casual approach to technical cycling clothing is perfect for hard rides followed by drinks at a bar, burritos at a taqueria, or swapping post-ride stories at the local bike shop.
The fit was comfortable and didn’t pull awkwardly while pedaling because of the small amount of stretch from the Spandex.
The Club Ride Savvy short might just be the most comfortable mountain bike short I’ve ever tried on. The fabric is lightweight and the cut is loose. On the trail, I almost forgot I was wearing shorts.
The shape of the hem is a nice touch, setting them apart from other shorts on the market. It’s a subtle detail that I think gives them a more relaxed vibe than just your standard straight edge pant leg. With an 11” inseam, these shorts land right above the knee cap and have plenty of room to fit knee pads.
The Savvy short is unlike any other mountain bike shorts we’ve tested, they are incredibly lightweight, thin, and stretchy making them ideal for those hot summer days. The drawstring helps you dial in the fit around the waist while the 11” inseam gives good coverage on the bike.
No selections for petite (5' 1")
Really nice shorts, and it's nice to have the extra length. Nice fabric, stretchy and light weight. I wish the pocket was large enough to hold a phone! I started with medium, which felt snug with a liner. Went with a large, which is big, but feels better riding.
I ordered the Eden short 7" and the Savvy short 9" both in size small. The Eden is sport fit, and the Savvy is comfort fit. I found the Eden shorts to be a bit tight in the crotch and thighs. I want to wear the shorts primarily for mountain biking, and I think the Eden short was just overall too small. I don't think I would be comfortable riding, especially with padded liners under the Eden short. Now the Savvy short on the other hand, fits much better and is less restrictive. I'm 5"6" and 125 lbs for reference. Typically, I wear a size 2 in Prana and 4 in Outdoor Research.
These shorts are both lightweight, stretchy, and durable, all packed into one! Bonus points...these transition well from the trails to the pub.
I am 5’3” and mostly torso. I have struggled to find shorts that are neither to long or too short, too tight or too baggy. These 9” shirts check all the boxes for me. The fit is amazing and don’t ride up while riding or feel like parachute pants.
