M's Go Long Shirt
Go Long or Go Home.. always a saying that feels right when you go out for a mountain bike ride. On those long rides, and even short ones, the Go Long is based on our best selling New West shirt as a long sleeve. It gives you the ability to cover up from sun & wind or cuff up the sleeves when you're in the trees. With classic western styling and technical stretch fabric the Go Long is an essential Ride and Daily piece sure to become your "go to" long sleeve top.
The New West as a long sleeve? Yes Please!! The Go Long uses the same fabric as the New West but somehow feels lighter and softer to the touch with plenty of stretch. It's casual but wicks sweat away on hot rides.
Another factor that makes the Go Long a very versatile piece is that it packs up really small, certainly smaller than all the other shirts reviewed. Using the old fruit comparison, I’d say that my men’s size medium rolls up and compresses into the size of a hearty apple. That makes it an excellent shirt to have in the seat pack for off-bike city exploring on a longer tour.
The Go Long's material is nice, light and stretchy besides breathing well. I also like the cut of the shirt it's a little longer in the back so more coverage while you're on the bike. Another thing I like about this shirt is it's got quick snap buttons making it easy to open up and vent on a hot climb.
Lightweight long sleeves are incredibly versatile we find ourselves wearing the Go Long Shirt when the sun is blazing and also when the weather cools down a bit and you need just a little extra coverage from the wind or to break the chill of an early morning ride. The stretchy fabric keeps you moving freely while on the bike.
Perfect fit, snaps r great, plaid looks nice, material’s soft enough, pits could use a little more ventilation, wrists r a little tight—and my wrists are not large, back pocket could be just a wee bit bigger, and the zipper pull could be just a wee bit bigger as well—hard to grab with cold-ish fingers, much less with gloves on.
Perfect weight and great fit.
Great Shirt, Love the pit breathers. Stylish at work and ready to party on the trails when it's time!
Who doesn't love plaid?
I have all three plaid LS Go
long shirts for riding, and they’re great! The sleeves are loose enough to wear elbow sleeves underneath or roll-up the sleeves to put on thicker pads. The
50 UPF is great because I can opt not to use sunscreen without worrying about sunburns. Super comfortable too and it doesn’t show sweat. If there were more colors I’d buy those too.
This shirt won me over to performance clothing. It performs like a piece of performance gear but doesn't look like you're trying to win a race. It's light and breathable, keeps you cool on your ride but you can wear it all day in the office. I love it.
