Perfect for cooler rides and fun after
My first impression was sizing was a bit snug, but they wore in fine after a few minutes. I literally got complemented on the first day wearing them(Portland things) and got them soaked on my ride home. I dried them and 2 days later soaked them again on 30 miles of gravel riding. They were PERFECT for 40s-50s riding. Good breathability, kept the wind off. A hard feat to balance both. They are NOT quick drying though. I was wet for hours both times and they seem to be heavy when wet. A spray of the hose and two washing later and theyre good as new. A solid/stylish/comfy pant for moderately cool temps if you're not expecting rain.
The Highlanders are a great article of clothing. The fabric is light weight, durable and soft to the touch. Dirt resistant but not water resistant. The side pocket is great. I love the olive color which is different than the ecru olive of the Chachi short. The bagginess of the pants especially from the knees down is a little to get use to and folding the cuff with the reflective strip is a little tricky but can function. Really decent pant overall. Can't wait to try on my wool thermals under them when out riding come cooler seasons. Cheers!
Waiting for the Large. It runs a lot smaller than your other pants.
The fabric is nice. But for a large, it's not very large at the waist. A bit tight. I have large shorts, large bike shorts, and 34 Cog pants and these are snug.
