M's Mountain Surf Short 12"
We've taken our best-selling short and upgraded the fabric and kept the same great fit. The Mountain Surf has a new PowerWeave lightweight 4-way stretch fabric that’s just as durable as your trusty single speed. Ride in more comfort, with great breathability, and more movement than ever before. From gettin' rowdy on the trail to staying rowdy in town, this great do it all short won’t disappoint.
You can count on these tough and durable shorts to keep you comfortable. The 12-inch inseam reaches the tops of your knees for full abrasion and sun protection, and the two-way stretch fabric and gusseted crotch help the shorts move with your body. An adjustable Velcro waistband offers a dialed-in fit, and there’s plenty of storage as well: two front and two rear hand pockets, and two side zippered pockets for your keys and other valuables. Plus, the low-key styling makes these shorts versatile enough for post-ride activities.
The quality of finish is superb, and the shorts wouldn’t look out of place on the bike or downtown.
The Mountain Surfs are a unique short that will fit in anywhere from the trail to the apres barbecue joint. The fabric is nice and light, and the shorts feel at home on the bike.
I had a hard time finding a good pair of baggy cycling shorts in the UK. Some had this utility cargo look, which wasn't stylish for casual wear. Another problem was some brands allowed too much space for the underwear, making the crotch look 'floppy.' And one well-known UK brand has their screamingly big white logo printed on its black shorts. (Classy, guys.)
So I Googled "best cycling shorts" and that's when I was introduced to Club Ride's range of cycling apparel.
I made the order for the Mountain Surf Men's 12" Shorts and, man, the first time I put them on I loved it, no holds barred. Not only was the sophisticated style unique for cycling shorts, with an elegant look that works off the bike, but the silky smooth material feels great; it's light enough for hot weather (despite the 12" length); and it's the perfect fit, with just the right amount of taper. (I would happily debate anyone who says the medium runs too small.)
Not a quibble, but the deep-enough two main pockets are positioned in the front, which is quirky, but for someone who likes a bit of quirk in their fashion, I quickly got used to it.
Overall, this apparel proves how far the craftsmanship of making cycling shorts of this type has come and I look forward to purchasing the next colourway.
exactly what i wanted & needed. i bought another pair in a different color. could i wear them everyday?? why not!
These shorts are like wearing your favorite casual shorts out biking. I always wear these when I am going to a restaurant, for a beer (or 7) or such right after my ride. No one can tell I am wearing Biking shorts. As far as the fit, I would say they fit a bit small. I am around a 32 waist and after trying on a medium (my normal size) I went with the large and they fit well. Better a little big than a little small. Love these shorts. I have two pairs, one blue and one light grey.
Fit on point, comfy, good looking shorts
I really like these shorts, I used them once so far. I really like that the front pocket opening is high so I don’t worry about anything falling out while I ride. I have a 34” inseam and I wish I would have ordered the 10” instead of the 12” but it’s not a big deal
