For hiking and generally kicking around town, the Club Ride HiFi has been pulled from the suitcase very often. It rides on the body just as well while walking down the trail as it does pedaling up a mountain.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the Hifi shorts. Despite their substantive nature, I neither felt too hot during rides in cooked canyons, nor too chilly in morning mist and fog. They strike that balance of slim enough and just the right length while having comfort that doesn’t flap.

The 13’ inseam gives you plenty of coverage on the bike even covering the tops of your knee pads to avoid the dreaded pad gap when the trails get rowdy. External velcro adjustment straps keep the shorts where you want them. Lightweight stretchy fabric is water and dirt-resistant keeping you drier while brushing up against the dew-covered bushes on those early morning rides.
Gave these to my husband for his birthday and he LOVES them. Says they are the best shorts ever!!!
I wasn't sure I'd like these shorts because I don't usually want back pockets in my biking shorts. I was very pleasantly surprised to notice that I didn't notice them at all during the ride. The zippered pocket on the right thigh was perfect for my cell phone and the mesh pocket in front of that perfect for a go-to snack. They were comfortable in the 50-65 degree weather I was riding and I'm pretty sure that they will serve me well in the mid-to-upper 40's.
Great on trail… pockets for stuff… doesn’t ride up as other shorts
Light, casual, and tough. Great for hitting the trails over lunch and blending right back into the office for the afternoon.
