M's Go Long Shirt
Go Long or Go Home.. always a saying that feels right when you go out for a mountain bike ride. On those long rides, and even short ones, the Go Long is based on our best selling New West shirt as a long sleeve. It gives you the ability to cover up from sun & wind or cuff up the sleeves when you're in the trees. With classic western styling and technical stretch fabric the Go Long is an essential Ride and Daily piece sure to become your "go to" long sleeve top.
The New West as a long sleeve? Yes Please!! The Go Long uses the same fabric as the New West but somehow feels lighter and softer to the touch with plenty of stretch. It's casual but wicks sweat away on hot rides.
Another factor that makes the Go Long a very versatile piece is that it packs up really small, certainly smaller than all the other shirts reviewed. Using the old fruit comparison, I’d say that my men’s size medium rolls up and compresses into the size of a hearty apple. That makes it an excellent shirt to have in the seat pack for off-bike city exploring on a longer tour.
The Go Long's material is nice, light and stretchy besides breathing well. I also like the cut of the shirt it's a little longer in the back so more coverage while you're on the bike. Another thing I like about this shirt is it's got quick snap buttons making it easy to open up and vent on a hot climb.

I bought this shirt for mountain biking, looking for a long sleep UPF shirt. After getting it I was almost hesitant to take it on the bike just because it was such a nice shirt. But it takes the abuse of biking and is easy to wash looking sharp for a (casual) office.
After liking it on the bike I took it one step further on a 3 day backpack. The shirt was perfect even with a 40lb pack. It never pulled in any weird ways or rode up with a hip belt. The UPF 50 sleeves and collar helped in hot afternoons and you can unsnap the front/roll up the sleeves while grinding uphill. The quick dry fabric made it easy to wash in a stream/lake every night and ready to go the next morning. Finally the mix of bug spray, sunscreen, and sweat easily washed out leaving it fresh for the next day.
I honestly think this shirt is better than any fishing shirt or Simms/Patagonia shirt. Those vents on the back don't work with a pack. The Go Long's vents under the arms and snaps compared to buttons on the front make it breathe better than the true "backpacking" shirts I've used in the past.
The shirt I've been searching for. Great sun protection and style. The fit is perfect (large, I'm 6'2" and 180) . It's light, stretchy and breathable even for mid-summer rides. The fabric seems to hold up well for bashing through brushy backcountry rides and I'm really digging the protection. Big fan so far.
I originally bought the shirt just to have a nice tech wicking shirt for everyday use. After seeing a few people out on the trails looking like a million $$$, I decided I would try my Go Long out on the trails. It worked great. I didn't feel sweaty or clamy all day. Even while I was wearing a backpack. The stretch fabric did awesome as well. Never felt it pulling one way or the other, even while using elbow pads. Now if they could only figure out a way to keep them from getting all smelly over time, I wouldn't have to choose to use it for day or trail wear.
The CR long shirt is simply perfect! The cut is in the goldilocks “not too long, not too short” cut. I am 175cm and 77kg quite broad in shoulders and chest and the medium is perfect. Unlike many other riding shirts, this shirt “breathes” well, I’ve ridden in 12 - 30C temperature range and always felt that the shirt was just right in terms of temperature control. The colours are awesome and the shirt looks as good off the bike as it does on. I have a number of riding shirts from other companies and quite simply put this is the best of the bunch and the one that I always grab for a ride - get one you will not be disappointed!
Seriously love the shirt. Shockingly functional and ultimately stylish, it really does transition from the bike to the bar “seamlessly“. . I wish it had a couple pockets on back like a Road jersey, I’d wear it on my road bike also! I’d like to spend most of my adult life wearing this shirt.
