M's Go Long Shirt
Go Long or Go Home.. always a saying that feels right when you go out for a mountain bike ride. On those long rides, and even short ones, the Go Long is based on our best selling New West shirt as a long sleeve. It gives you the ability to cover up from sun & wind or cuff up the sleeves when you're in the trees. With classic western styling and technical stretch fabric the Go Long is an essential Ride and Daily piece sure to become your "go to" long sleeve top.
The New West as a long sleeve? Yes Please!! The Go Long uses the same fabric as the New West but somehow feels lighter and softer to the touch with plenty of stretch. It's casual but wicks sweat away on hot rides.
Another factor that makes the Go Long a very versatile piece is that it packs up really small, certainly smaller than all the other shirts reviewed. Using the old fruit comparison, I’d say that my men’s size medium rolls up and compresses into the size of a hearty apple. That makes it an excellent shirt to have in the seat pack for off-bike city exploring on a longer tour.
The Go Long's material is nice, light and stretchy besides breathing well. I also like the cut of the shirt it's a little longer in the back so more coverage while you're on the bike. Another thing I like about this shirt is it's got quick snap buttons making it easy to open up and vent on a hot climb.
Lightweight long sleeves are incredibly versatile we find ourselves wearing the Go Long Shirt when the sun is blazing and also when the weather cools down a bit and you need just a little extra coverage from the wind or to break the chill of an early morning ride. The stretchy fabric keeps you moving freely while on the bike.
Another fine product fron the folks at Club Ride. Fit is perfect for a sport fit. Went out on a breezy, 32 degree average temp ride with a light base layer underneath, along with my CR gold rush pants, and was perfectly comfortable. I could see this one being pulled out from fall thru spring with, or without, various weights of base layers. Will be ordering another soon.
Only ridden in it once so far and it’ll be a few months before I can again but I look forward to some 50 degree temps so I can wear it again. It is a nice combination of long sleeve but not too warm.
I have always been a mens size medium and CRA seems to be spot on for me. This shirt fits well, moves and breathes well too. Will be in regular rotation in warm weather.
Perfect shirt for the office and the trails after.
Just bought a second one.
I bought this shirt to ride in and no other reason. I now own two and I'm considering buying a third.
The shirt looks great and could easily be worn in any setting off the bike.
I wear a 42 Long jacket. 5'10" & 180lbs. The sleeve length is perfect. I have enough sleeve coverage in almost every riding position except way behind the saddle. The wrist is loose enough to allow full movement. The torso is just right with enough room to move and articulate with or without a pack on.
I'm usually on the warmer side so the thinner material is perfect.
I'm currently wearing it over a thin base layer t-shirt this fall near Lake Tahoe with temps in the low 50-60s. I can easily roll up the sleeves to let a little heat out while climbing.
I bet it could be a perfect shirt for spring and fall almost everywhere from Pisgah to Tahoe.
This will probably stretch into summer on higher elevations.
