M's Go Long Shirt
Go Long or Go Home.. always a saying that feels right when you go out for a mountain bike ride. On those long rides, and even short ones, the Go Long is based on our best selling New West shirt as a long sleeve. It gives you the ability to cover up from sun & wind or cuff up the sleeves when you're in the trees. With classic western styling and technical stretch fabric the Go Long is an essential Ride and Daily piece sure to become your "go to" long sleeve top.
The New West as a long sleeve? Yes Please!! The Go Long uses the same fabric as the New West but somehow feels lighter and softer to the touch with plenty of stretch. It's casual but wicks sweat away on hot rides.
Another factor that makes the Go Long a very versatile piece is that it packs up really small, certainly smaller than all the other shirts reviewed. Using the old fruit comparison, I’d say that my men’s size medium rolls up and compresses into the size of a hearty apple. That makes it an excellent shirt to have in the seat pack for off-bike city exploring on a longer tour.
The Go Long's material is nice, light and stretchy besides breathing well. I also like the cut of the shirt it's a little longer in the back so more coverage while you're on the bike. Another thing I like about this shirt is it's got quick snap buttons making it easy to open up and vent on a hot climb.
Lightweight long sleeves are incredibly versatile we find ourselves wearing the Go Long Shirt when the sun is blazing and also when the weather cools down a bit and you need just a little extra coverage from the wind or to break the chill of an early morning ride. The stretchy fabric keeps you moving freely while on the bike.
This is a very stylish shirt and comfortable. It's definitely a performance shirt so if you're planning on riding it in cooler weather wear a base layer under it. I got the XL because I like a looser fit so the sleeves are a little long but I don't think that will have any effect when I'm riding.
Love this short for warmer fall rides. I get a ton of compliments out on the trail for how it looks.
Really like the shirt, though I’ve realized that I prefer a comfort fit
Quickly became my favourite light weight CR shirt on a 12 day bike ride recently. Does everything you expect from CR, breathes well, comfortable fit, quick drying, so much so it also became my backup towel!
Third day on the trails, mate had a catastrophic mechanical failure. The bright colour of the Flame meant that the paramedics could see us from quite a distance away.
All my sand, asphalt, and green CR shirts are now going to be replaced over time with brighter coloured CR shirts.
My only complaint about the Go Long, no back pocket! The disappointment was real, albeit short lived.
Couple of rides on this shirt now. It has performed amazing both times. It is super comfortable for riding. I even wore it for work before the ride and was comfortable for that as well. Love this shirt.
