Fit and finish is great. Cannot wait to put it to use this winter on my fat bike!!
I purchased one of these vests last year to use fatbiking in Vermont during the winter. I have found it to be an excellent layer or outer layer in many conditions. It provides good warmth, but breathes decently too. I normally wear a large in clothing at 6'2" 210lbs, but had to get this in an XL.
This vest is the perfect weight for an extra layer when the temperature drops or the wind picks up. More padding up front where you need it, with less in the back where you don't - helps regulate body temps with ease. I have worn it on long chilly rides and out to casual dinners. It's my "go to" vest right now.
I have several vests cause I like the warmth to vent ratio. But none of them were good for cycling. This piece solves all that. It's small enough to pack in a pack but also breathes well enough to wear on most climbs. I also really like that the front is insulated but the back is not. This makes it perfect for venting with or without a pack. On shorter rides the rear storage pockets carry my essentials. On longer rides I can take a backpack or hip pack and the tailored fit doesn't interfere with either. A lot of the club ride gear is also great lifestyle wear but this piece isn't really a casual wear item for me but I absolutely love to ride in it.
Thus vest is high quality and functional. My only gripe is that I wish there was a single zippered pocket in the rear. I think it would make the vest sleeker and offer a more secure option for stuff in the back.
