We got this to test in both hot and humid weather. The dissolvable yarn is essentially soft mesh fabric which is not see through. It's incredible how much air moves through this shirt. Where other shirts have vents this entire shirt is a vent.
Perhaps the coolest (pun intended) new product is the Motive Jersey, which uses a dissolving fabric to create a massively ventilated garment
The motive allows air to go through the fabric, circulate and exit, bringing my body heat with it. And it takes so little wind or motion to get the process going. Even if I get out of the saddle quickly, there's a bit of a rush of coolness on my back.
Club Ride makes great jerseys for people who don’t want to scream “I’m a mountain biker” everywhere they go, although their brand is synonymous with mountain biking, so you’re still kind of making a statement to other riders. Overall, the Motive is a really cool and breathable jersey for summer riding.
I enjoy showing up in these causal shirts when everyone else is wearing their race fit kits. Some comment, but they all have a look on their face that says, I wish I was wearing that shirt.
Love this piece. Excellent weight for the hot mid day after work rides during Summer here in CO, or for hitting my local brewery afterwards. Not out of place at Red Rocks concerts either. Love the side zip pocket!
What I like most about these shirts is that while they’re top notch in quality and functionality, they don’t look like mountain bike clothes. Style and function? Yes. Tech fabric with details like a glasses cleaner and rear pocket? Yes. Wear on a ride or out for drinks? Yes. It’s a legit greatest hits album.
I have yet to wear the shirt much but, so far, it fits well and is extremely lightweight, though well made. My only concern might be that the snaps are too robust. I feel as though I might tear the material when unsnapping. That being said, I think the shirt will hold up. Love the color.
