M's Fat Jack Pant
Technical and robust, our Fat Jack pant was designed for the epic fat-bike ride on miles of winter single track. Don’t have snow? Don’t fret, the Fat Jack performs in dirt and on pavement just as well. Our stretch, water resistant double weave fabric with durable canvas leg patches deliver the workman’s pant in a technical package. Reflective accents add night time security. The side leg pockets store all of your goodies securely behind a reflective bound zipper or open them up for full upper leg ventilation.
Bottom line, the Fat Jack did exactly what I was hoping it would: provide a warm, tough, water resistant external layer for fat biking expeditions. But as a bonus, with the level of insulation that this pant provides, I could easily see using it in both spring and fall weather as well, simply by dropping the thermal liner that I used beneath it for winter fat biking.
Great fit, good stretch, good wind breaking, durable, and stylish. Warm enough for moderately cold temps, then easily layered with long underwear for colder days. My go to pants all winter long.
They remind me in quality of "Kuhl" pants, but these are much more (of course) mountain biker friendly, love 'em!
Purchased these pants in November, started wearing them just after Christmas. I typically wear a 36, ordered XL/38. Outside of some initial snugness, they break in VERY nicely. I have used these for work outside the house, driving, and riding in the colder weather. The ONLY thing I disagree with is the panels over the thighs, outside of that...I'll take a dozen.
These are the most comfortable pants I have purchased. To my happy :) surprise they were not skinny pants. Which was nice. No one wants to see that. I use them for commuting to work. Very comfortable.
Updated review I have had these pants now 5 months) and wear them every week for riding in the cool temps. I have ridden from 20-50 degrees and in snow and rain. I have always been comfortable. They flex great and move good for riding.
I am also a trail boss so i regularly carry a chainsaw and clear trees from the trails. These are perfect pants for working on the trails and around tools and equipment.
I also think they are fashionable pants and have worn them to the ski lodge a couple of times after hours. They are wearing very well and still look as the day i got them
