M's Daniel Flannel
In the Wild West gunslingers played with pistols to find out who was the down-right baddest hombre in town, there was the victory and the unfortunate loser. This hombre flannel takes that competition to a less serious outcome but still honors the tradition of being the best flannel in town. Built with stretch for movement, quick dry and wicking fabrics to keep you warm and comfy during activity and looks, well maybe not to die for. Named after Daniel our Marketing guy it has no match as the best hombre “flannel” in town!
Laid back style in a midweight flannel. Subtle features like snap buttons and underarm mesh panels make this a functional shirt on and off the bike.
It also has a soft, brushed texture that’s, well, more like flannel. I’ve only gotten a few rides in with the Daniel, but so far I really like it. It offers a good combination of warmth and breathability, which is often a tough balance. I’ve found it to be best suited for temps hovering in the upper 40s to mid-50s when used with a thin merino base layer. As for packability, the men’s medium rolls up and compresses into the size of a small cantaloupe.
My style preferences trend more towards casual than performance but it’s always great when I find a piece of clothing that combines both casual aesthetics with performance features. Club Ride’s Daniel flannel does just that by pairing technical fabrics and features with a sleek, tailored flannel design.
This is my new favorite shirt! My wife got it for me for Father's Day; we are having a cold and wet stretch here in Maine so I negotiated to get it early. (strokes cat in lap like evil genius) It's super comfy; I have cotton flannels that are less soft than this. It's pretty damn handsome if I do say so my damn self ... I wore it to the pub on the weekend and received a couple of unsolicited compliments. This morning I wore it for an early morning trail ride; it really is perfect for high output activity in cool weather. (and I predict it will make a great layer come snow sports season next winter, especially on "earn your turns" days.)
I'm already eyeballing another color. This is such a versatile shirt!
does what it says on the box
My second CR flannel, i pretty much live in them all winter. I use for biking in fall and spring.
I have long arms, which can make long sleeve fit difficult. These sleeves are perfect on or off the bike for me.
I have purchased several Club Ride shirts and had not gone the flannel route until burning the Daniel this winter. It was a great purchase as it pairs well with jeans for causal wear, a vest on a cool Indiana winter ride, or just around the house. Great construction and fit, and the color is pleasing.
Love these shirts especially that they are priced in CAD and no import duties and tax are incurred now! Comfort fit is perfect for riding.
