Almost perfect!

Great pair of shorts. What made me buy these was the comment by another reviewer who said he liked these better than his Zoic shorts. I love my Zoic shorts but after a few years the padding is getting compressed and the leg grippers are getting stretched out. SO, what do I like about these shorts? i finally had a chance to wear them when I was down in NC riding some great flowy trails. Love the fit, love the padding in the liner. I would say the claim that these are 2 hour shorts is right on. My complaint? Pockets. The zippered pocket on the right leg doesn't hold much and doesn't fit my cell phone. I carried it in one of the regular pockets. It didn't seem to be too bothersome but the problem is that pocket is not secure. I've had phones pop out going over jumps. I need a zippered pocket that holds my cellphone and does not interfere with pedaling. then I would call them the perfect mountain bike short.

Plenty Of Give

I purchased these because they came recommended through a friend. I have been very impressed so far with the shorts and chamois. I love the added stretch areas and the internal velcro for making sure they are a perfect fit. They are far more comfortable than the Zoic shorts and chamois I was riding before. I will definitely be buying another pair to replace my other riding shorts.

The perfect short

Just received my second pair of Fuze shorts, and they're actually better than the first. What's good?
*Great fit, with the adjustable inner velcro tensioners.
*Fabric and finish: top quality, comfortable, durable, easy to clean. All that, and not any bit heavier than need be. No weird seams rubbing anywhere.
*The pockets! - done right!: Two up front to put your hands in while you're waiting for friends to catch up, but the winner is the little one on the side of the right thigh - it's slim to where you won't notice extra bulk or bagginess, it disappears when it's empty. I stash my ID, medical card, credit card or a $20, and my key fob in there, and I never notice them during the ride. Simple way to get out the door without needing to have a packing routine. So many good shorts out there with inferior pockets. CR figured out how to do this right.

So how are they better than my first pair? The liner fabric is softer and stretchier than the meshy liner that came with my first pair. Both liners are dandy, but the newer one is superior.
