W's Sola Sun Shirt
Shop Women's Sola Sun Shirt from Club Ride Apparel. Get cover from the sun or cut the chilll with this ultra-lightweight packable shirt. Made with our lightest 80 g/m² fabric on the body and arms and a stowable hood, the Helios will keep you covered but won't hold you back.
The Sola provides impeccable protection from the sun all while not being too hot to wear all day on long hot rides. Our tester loved the breathability of the Sola thanks to the perforated body fabric. The fit is tapered nicely to contour the body, yet still leaves plenty of room for movement and airflow.
The Club Ride Sola Sun Shirt — the women’s version of the Helios Sun Shirt that we tested earlier this year — has proven to be one of the most versatile bike tops I’ve ever had, and as a result, I have worn it a ton this season. From days in the high alpine to really warm days in the desert when I am trying to give my arms a break from the sun, I have found the Sola Sun Shirt to be comfortable and versatile in a range of conditions.
Couldn't be more stoked with this sun shirt. I work on a boat in the summer, and I can wear it even when it's blazing hot out. The material is lightweight, and fits my body perfectly. It dries quickly and keeps you cool during the long days in the sun. I feel like this sun shirt is an everyday shirt that can also be worn to casually or playing hard in the mountains.
I have a number of 'sun shirts' but none this lightweight and breathable. The blue denim color is lovely. The fit is perfect for me with longish arms--great thumbholes) and longish in the body (I am long in the torso). I can see I will get good use from this as a biking top alone and then under a vest and, later, jackets for biking, running, walking the dog and 'life' in general.
I bought this for spring skiing and I think it will be perfect. Very lightweight and comfortable, not tight. Will be good sun protection while not being hot.
I purchased this a bit large as it was the only size and glad I did. No sunburn in Moab for a week in June. Especially like how it covers the back of the hands. Was comfortable in the heat and did not block sweat evaporation. Much more comfortable than the tighter knit sun protection. Crossing my fingers that it will last as so very light weight. My prior spf shirt is about 2000 vintage REI and relegated to long river or backpack trips now. Bought more for my daughter and a friend.
I wore this hiking the Narrows at Zion National Park a couple weeks ago. It was the perfect layer because it staved off the slightly cool temps when we were starting and kept the sun off me when it hit mid-day. There are a set of zipper pockets in the front which is nice-- since the shirt is so lightweight though, it looked a little funny holding my phone there, but it was one of those hikes you didn't care. Overall I love this shirt and it's quality and kind of everything about it.
I did start to get a just a touch warm when the sun was on me, but I bet the airflow while riding a bike would negate that slight difficulty.
I loved the green/blue color that I ordered-- it's a more muted color compared to some athleticwear these days, but still enough color to not be boring.
