HiFi Short: good fit and lots of pockets

I now have two pairs of HiFis: black and gray. They fit well and have adjustable waist with Velcro side adjustment. I usually wear a light weight nylon belt too. Love the longer leg length for sun and poison oak protection. Fabric is light but so far has held up well in my one hip-impacting crash.

Fit Comments: Great fit. I'm a tall, lanky guy but I have an overly enthusiastic taste for beer in my mid-40s so I have that slight fit challenge. I don't find I need a belt unless I have lots of stuff in the pockets.

Fantastic MTB shorts - great balance between feeling somewhat substantial yet not too heavy/hot

These are really great shorts - I started my CR journey with a pair of Mtn Surf shorts, which I also love as an everyday pair of summer shorts. I added these based on a CR agent's recommendation. They're much more substantial/techy in their build compared to the Mtn Surf, which seemed unnecessary to me at the time, but I figured I'd give them a shot. I really like them on rides, just super comfortable, yet not bulky or too warm. They're a bit long which is more of a style thing to be aware of vs a pro/con. I like them a lot and just picked up my 2nd pair in a different color.

Very comfortable, stylish shorts with great elasticity. The velcro straps that tighten the waist come undone while riding, so a belt is ultimately needed (for me). Also, my Samsung Note20 Ultra fits in the side leg pocket, which is a plus.

Nice shorts, kind of strange Velcro tighteners

I like the length and the fit. I also like that there are belt loops to use if I want, and we’ll placed zip pockets. There are also Velcro tighteners on the hips, which are fine, but there is a very large, thin piece of fabric that has to be folded over to engage the Velcro. If you undo the Velcro the waist line changes to I don’t know what, but absolutely enormous. There should be a smaller piece of fabric there or elastic. I can feel the folded fabric but it’s not distracting or anything. I just laughed because it undid the Velcro to adjust and my pants just fell to the floor.
